Make a Joyful Noise
Sometimes as believers, we forget Whose we are. Sometimes in the middle of life’s struggles, we lose sight of the joy that we’ve been given.
We forget that we’ve been given a new song and that even when things are hard, we can still rejoice.
We can still rejoice in the freedom that we’ve been given, the everlasting life that we’ve been promised, and the hope that we have in Christ.
I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
and put their trust in him.Psalm 40:1-3
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-7
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!
