The Battle Belongs to the Lord

Sometimes it seems like we are fighting a losing battle against the darkness of this world. The enemy of our souls has only one goal: “…to steal and kill and destroy…” (John 10:10), and you’ve got to admit, he does a pretty good job! What that means is that it makes our job as believers even harder.

We are called to be a light in that darkness and to share with others the hope that we have been given through Christ. As humans we are all too prone toward feeling overwhelmed and hopeless, but as believers we have the strength to “…do all things through Him who strengthens [us].” (Philippians 4:13).

We also know how this eternal story will ultimately end. We know that death has already been defeated. We know that the enemy of our souls has been crushed under the feet of our Savior. We know that the same power that raised Christ from the grave is living inside of us, enabling us to fight whatever battles come our way.

We know The One who holds the entire universe in His hands. We know the King of Kings!
